A Day of Academic Success and Celebration for Our PhD Exchange Scholars

Last week marked a major milestone for our PhD exchange program participants, as they successfully completed their final oral exams — the much-anticipated dissertation defenses. We’re proud to share that every candidate passed, marking the culmination of years of research, dedication, and academic growth.

The defenses were held in a supportive and professional setting, with several scholars accompanied by their family members who traveled to be part of this important moment. Faculty examiners praised the depth of research and confident presentations, highlighting the international impact of the work presented.

After the academic rigor came well-earned relaxation and celebration. The sun was shining as the entire group—students, supervisors, and guests—headed out to enjoy a shared sushi dinner.
